Tuesday, Scott worked and I headed to the library with the kids. Our time in the library looking for books are always very short and I'm usually the one picking out the books. We then headed to the park to play, dropped some of my old clothes & shoes off at the D.I. and went shopping at Walmart. It felt nice to clean out my closet of clothes that just aren't ever going to fit anymore. The next day, we did the same with Scott's clothes and so our closets and dressers are thinned out. We went to Scheele's sports store and I got myself some new running shoes. I was able to use some birthday money for them and I really like them.
Thursday, Scott shadowed in the morning and then I met him at his work for their summer pot luck. We had lunch there and then went to the mall to get Scott's father's day present. He was able to get two new hats. While on the way to the hat store, we passed by Build-a-Bear. I mentioned that I still had a gift card from there and we went in to check it out. We weren't seeing anything that looked good enough and Scott definitely didn't want Kylie to get a teddy bear in a tutu. On the way out, we saw a stuffed minion and Scott showed Kylie, who then immediately proclaimed how much she wanted it. Lucky for us, all the minion stuff was on sale and so Kylie was able to get her own stuffed minion! She loved the whole process and loves bringing her minion Kevin everywhere.
On Friday, Scott worked and I went and worked at Scott's parents house. After working, we headed to Orem to watch the outdoor play The Little Mermaid. We were supposed to go on Monday, but it was raining and so we switched to go another day. The play was cute, but it was hard to get Kylie to sit still and since we were on a hill, Jordan would roll down if I weren't holding onto him. It was hard to watch and enjoy with a squirming baby and a toddler who won't sit down. Telling Kylie to sit down while outside is pretty pointless.
She was really excited when it first started and loved the singing and music. It only lasted about 4 scenes, though. |
