Jordan's 18-Months!

Jordan turned 18-months on April 2nd. He is becoming not a baby anymore. You can tell that he is starting to really absorb everything around him. He definitely has a curious personality and while that's great for learning, it sure keeps me on my toes. Here are some facts about our boy Jordan.
  • Weight: 27 lbs. 75%
  • Height: 32.5" 65%
  • Head circumference: 50%
  • Music is something Jordan really enjoys. He's starting to sing along to Old McDonald as I sing it every time I get him dressed (since I have to put on a few lotions, it takes a bit). He likes to bob his head up and down and bounce his whole body up and down when he hears music playing.
  • He's starting to remember things that he sees in books or on TV. We watched Moana quite a few times when we borrowed it from my mom and he says the chickens name "Hey Hey" anytime he sees a chicken now. Reading books takes some time with him because he likes to point at everything in the book and have me tell him what it is and repeat it a few times.
  • He's talking a lot more now and I'm trying to get him to start forming sentences, but we're not quite there yet.
  • He can identify body parts: head, nose, eyes, ears, mouth, tongue, belly, toes, fingers, hair
  • He knows a lot of animal sounds and loves animals. He likes the cat, but when he sees a dog, he goes crazy. I'm glad that we have a zoo pass.
  • He still puts things in his mouth, which is hard as I want him to do the same things as Kylie, but I have to watch him super close.
  • He likes to whistle and is pretty good at it!
  • He finally sleeping through the night consistently and takes 2 naps almost every day. He likes to read a book before going to sleep and then I sing him a lullaby before bed. He does these hugs around my neck that I just love and makes me forget any bad thing that happened earlier in the day.
  • He doesn't have stranger danger, but he can be clingy at times. The other night, it took almost an hour to put him back to sleep as he just did not want to be put down.
  • He's a little bit of a biter, especially if he has something in his hands and another kid tries to take it. Hopefully he'll get more vocal soon and that will stop the biting.
  • He loves to play with Kylie and do what she does. He follows her around and won't leave her alone. They fight a little bit, but they do love each other.
  • Jordan loves to laugh and be tickled. His laugh is contagious. He also has the cutest smile.
  • He's a boy and likes to play outside and get dirty. The kids go straight to the garden to play in the dirt anytime I send them outside.
  • Jordan is a climber! He likes to push the kitchen chairs to the counters, so he can climb up and reach whatever he wants. I have to keep our bathroom door shut now because he likes to climb up on the counter to get his toothbrush. He loves to brush his teeth!
  • He loves water as well and bath time is so fun for him. Summer will be filled with a lot of swimming.
How lucky are we to have gotten blessed with him in our life! Happy 18-months Jordan! Can't wait to see your progress from now until you turn 2.
I'll update this post with pictures once I take them.
