Catching Up-February

Here's a post of other random things that happened during the month of February. It was a good month!
Jordan loves to ride on this cow.
He likes to flip through our Disneyland book and show the names of the characters when he sees them.
Little stinker loves to climb on anything.
Movie time after playing in the snow!
Playing in the sink! They then took a bath after this.
We went to another pass of all passes hockey game. Jordan loves the bear!
Playing at the park and having a picnic on a warmer day.
Scott's parents were out of town, but we crashed their place to watch the Superbowl! It was a crazy and fun game to watch.
Alright, I think I'm all caught up now! We are a week into March and Scott has about a month and a half left of the semester. Let's hope it's not another couple of months before I update again. :)

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was fun this year! Scott did have school and clinicals, so he wasn't home, but me and the kids had a good day. Kylie had a fun party at preschool and came home with lots of fun treats. I took them to McDonald's for lunch and they had fun playing in the play place. The rest of the day went fine and then grandma Becky stopped by after work and the kids enjoyed seeing her. We made Valentine's cookies the Sunday before and Kylie liked to help cut the shapes out, but once again didn't care about decorating them. She did help put sprinkles on a few though. All in all, Valentine's Day was a good day.
We printed off PJ Masks coloring pages for Kylie and she was so excited.

Preschool field trip-Discovery Museum

Kylie had a preschool field trip to the Discovery Museum, which is downtown. I volunteered to help and was able to bring Jordan along. It was a little hectic as there were a lot of other large preschool groups there and trying to keep track of 5+ kids was tricky. It worked out fine, but Jordan became super emotional towards the end (just crying for no reason and having a hard time getting settled down), but once I took him outside, he was happy. Kylie enjoyed herself and her favorite place to play was the pretend house. She loved pretending to cook in the kitchen and take care of the little babies in there. Jordan's favorite part was the water works. He loves to play in the water and would be in heaven if I let him play in the sink all day. He makes a big mess though, so I just put him in the bath when he wants to play in the water. Maybe I'll invest in a water table for the summer. Anyway, it was a fun field trip.
They loved playing in the real life flight helicopter.

Midway Ice Castles

On February 1st, we headed to the ice castles with grandma Becky and uncle Aaron. Scott had school and soccer and so he did not attend. The last time we went to the ice castles was in January of 2014, so Kylie was just a little baby. They have made major improvements since that year. I couldn't believe all the updates (slides, fountain, fire pits, lights, music, etc.) and how much larger these ice castles were. It was worth the drive up there and we went at the perfect time as the next week they had to close them down due to warm weather. We got there when it was still light out and stayed until it was dark, so it was fun to see the ice castles in both lights. It's definitely a different environment at night. Kylie and Jordan wore their snow gear, but Jordan had a little trouble walking on the ground as it was so uneven with all the ice pebbles everywhere. We stayed about two hours and by then, it was dark and cold and the kids were hungry. So, we fed them some snacks in the car and drove home. The kids had fun and I got some fun pictures. I'm glad that we were able to make schedules work and go see them.
The kids did not want to stop and take a picture. They wanted straight in there.
Lots of fun nooks and crannies for the kids to crawl in.
They had kid slides and they couldn't stop going down them. There was an adult slide that Kylie went down with grandma.
They stopped on the way in and just wanted to play in the snow.
Fun ice chair that they built.
Loved the fountain and how it changed colors at night.
Fun light up colored wall.
We saw Elsa and Anna on our way out!
