Teddy Bear Picnic

On Saturday, August 5th, the zoo put on a teddy bear picnic. Since Kylie has been into bears, we thought it would be a lot of fun to take the kids to. We thought there would actually be a picnic going on, but it was just a couple of booths set up throughout the zoo. It was still a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed the booths that were set up. It got me excited for the boo at the zoo that happens in October. We made sure to get there soon after it opened so it wouldn't be too crowded and it worked out perfectly.
The kids had fun coloring some bee and ant masks!
Bubbles!
Kylie won a free pie from Village Inn!
Out of all the times we've been to the zoo, I've never seen the otters...until now! And they were swimming and playing and it was so fun to see them for once.

Seven Peaks

On Thursday, August 3rd, I headed to Seven Peaks water park with the kids. We stayed for 3 hours and they had a blast. It wasn't as hard as I thought to keep track of both kids by myself, which was something I was worried about. Kylie enjoyed crossing the floaties and Jordan loved sitting on the dinosaurs and going down the slides. Before we left, we decided to try out the wave pool. The kids loved it!! They couldn't get enough of the waves moving them and we had so much fun. I had to drag them away from the pool because they wanted to stay longer, but it was way past lunch and nap time. It was such a fun time and I will definitely renew our pass of all passes so that we can go to the water park more next year.

Dinosaur Museum

Tuesdays in August are known as Thanksgiving Point Tuesdays. Every section of Thanksgiving Point is only $2 to get into every Tuesday in August. We took full advantage of that this year and went every Tuesday and saw every section. The first Tuesday, we went to the dinosaur museum with the Peirce gang. Jordan loved seeing all the dinosaurs and Kylie had a blast playing with her cousins. Afterward, we had a picnic lunch outside. We are grateful that Thanksgiving Point does this and I'm glad that we took advantage and had fun.
