Sledding

The day after Christmas was spent sledding and hanging out with Scott's family. My mom came over with a sled and we took the kids to a hill right by our house. It was not too big of a hill and the kids loved it. It was quite cold out, so we didn't stay outside for too long, but the kids had fun going down the hill and getting pulled on the sled. We still haven't made a snowman, but the snow still seems to be consistently coming down, so I think we'll have plenty of time to make one before the spring.

Christmas Day

Christmas day was full of fun. I woke up before anyone else to get a little ready, which worked as we were on the go the rest of the day. The kids woke up and then we headed down to open stockings. Each of the kids had a stuffed character in their stocking and it was so fun to see them so excited about them. We also ended up with a white Christmas.
After going through our stockings, I started making breakfast. We had the traditional breakfast I always had growing up (cherry roll, scrambled eggs, sausage & hot chocolate) along with pancakes. Kylie was able to see all the presents and the princess tower Scott made her and just got so excited! She kept saying that this was the best Christmas ever. After breakfast, we headed down to open gifts.
Opening presents with the kids was a sweet experience. They both loved checking out the princess tower and Kylie wanted to open every present that was under the tree. Jordan became less interested as time went on and we actually put him down for a nap after all the kids gifts were open. After opening gifts and cleaning up, we headed to church at 1pm for sacrament meeting. After church, we headed straight to Scott's parents house to hang out for the rest of the evening. I didn't take any pictures at the in-laws house, but we had fun eating dinner, opening up gifts and playing games together. It was an enjoyable Christmas.
