Catching Up-January

Wow, it sure has been a while since I've posted. January was a busy month for Scott as he started back up at school again! He has been doing fantastic at studying and putting in a lot of hard work to do well. I'm so proud of him. School didn't start until the second week of January, so Scott went down to California for our niece Addison's sealing in the temple. Scott flew down to Vegas with Brita and then they drove to California with Becky. It was a quick weekend trip and I'm glad he was able to attend.
At Guy Fieri's restaurant.
The second week Scott started school and things were predictable at home with preschool, play dates, the library, etc. The third week we went to a hockey game (I'll put on a separate post) and the rest of the month was us just going through the motions of life. Here are some pictures of things that happened.
Scott's mom got a bunny and the kids enjoy seeing it any time they visit.
Jordan was super excited, as you can tell by the blurriness of the picture. He even tried to climb into the cage with the bunny.
The kids had fun playing out in the snow one day. Jordan likes to lay in the snow and make snow angels on his stomach.
When it was too cold to go play outside in the snow, I brought snow inside for the kids to play with. They needed up just eating the snow, but Kylie painted a little bit.
Jordan at his 15-month check up.
Free ice cream sundaes at Smith's one night!
He loves to read books! Caught him in his corner one day.
Playing in the dryer with Kylie. These two are funny.
Ice cream sundae at Smith's!
Wearing the cute sweater she got from grandpa Jack & grandmama Roberta for Christmas.
First french braid!
Kylie's first self portrait.
Helping me clean the back door.
They have so much fun coloring on the white board we hung in our room.
For our play date one day, we went to a place called Jungle Jim's where it's only $2 to get in. It's like an indoor amusement park and the kids had a blast! It's a great deal to get in for $2 (parents are free), so I'm going to try to go at least once a month.
There was a mini carousel inside.
Kylie was brave to go on this roller coaster alone. I went with her another time and got so dizzy!
Both kids favorite part was the arcade games.
Poor Kylie didn't know how to do the bumper cars at all.
Loved the toddler play area they had.
This was Jordan's favorite ride.
Well, that's all for January. It was cold and snowy a lot of the time, but we tried to keep busy. Scott had a hectic first couple of weeks back at school, but he formed a routine that's helped keep him on track. He enjoys his clinical site and is vastly improving (which in becoming a nurse practitioner, practice is what makes the difference). Get ready for posts about February!
