Saturday, the 28th we headed down to the San Diego Zoo. One thing Scott & I realized about California around Christmas is that every place you go is super crowded! It can sometimes make for activities to not be as enjoyable or the activity you want to do takes more time because of it. The zoo was definitely crowded. It took Scott & David about 45 minutes to park and it was a little difficult trying to keep such a large group together. We had two strollers and a wheelchair, so moving in between people became a hassle. David & Kristene renewed their membership there and got 4 free guest passes, so it was really nice that we were able to get in for free.
The zoo looks really nice and the exhibits are great. I just wish we were able to see more of it. Since it took a bit to get down there and then park, we were there in the evening and the zoo had lights set up throughout which was fun to see. After the zoo, we ate pizza at this place called Round Table. Then we headed home and surprisingly, played games. :)

A Californian Christmas-Part 4
On Friday, the 27th we headed down to Knott's Berry Farm and the beach. Kristene told us about this restaurant that has this very famous chicken dinner. So famous that the lines to get in and eat are pretty extreme, especially around dinner time. We headed down for lunch and the place was crowded! Surprisingly, the line for lunch went rather quickly and we were able to get in within 45 minutes, which is pretty good for this place. The chicken was pretty delicious! Very flavorful and super moist. For how far we had to drive to get it, I wish we had just planned on going to the park as well. I think it would have made the time and money to park a little more worth the effort.
After Knott's, we headed off to Manhattan Beach. There's a free aquarium there from 3-5pm. Our car got there late, so we weren't able to see inside the aquarium before it closed. I do forget how pretty the ocean can be and it was fun to take Kylie down on the sand. After the beach, we just headed home and played some more games.

A Californian Christmas-Part 3
The next morning after Christmas, we got doughnuts and went to Juice It Up (we got a coupon book) for breakfast. Our friends Bryan & Natalie & their son Max were in California as well with their family and they were close, so we decided to get together. We were only able to see them for about half an hour because they had places to be and Bryan was a little sick. It was good to see them for that short time since they live in Washington. Hopefully they'll end up in Utah when Bryan is done with law school. It would be nice to have some good friends close by.
I brought Just Dance 4 and David brought over his Wii and we spent the afternoon dancing away. Before dinner, we wanted to do something, so we decided on mini-golf. We went to this place called Castle Park which is like a permanent carnival. The golf course was fun, but one that wasn't easy.
Then we went home and had a BBQ dinner and played some more games. Here are some random pictures that I don't know what day they were taken on.
