Jordan's 9-months!

Jordan had his 9-month check up at the doctor yesterday! He is 20 lbs (50%), 28.5 inches (70%) long and 17.5 inches(25%) for his head. The doctor wasn't worried about his growth at all as Jordan is doing great. He has no interest in walking right now, but I feel that it will still happen before he turns 1. For some reason, Jordan has really sensitive skin, as evidenced by the dermatitis around his mouth and the patches of eczema on his arms, legs and tummy. I bought this Cetaphil lotion, but the doctor prescribed us some hydrocortisone cream to see if it helps take the patches away. It's been a month since we've been using the medicine on his face and it's supposed to take up to 2 months, but it's better than it was before, but it's still pretty noticeable. Hopefully we can find something to help keep these sensitivities on his skin under control. Jordan really is doing lots of fun things now.
  • He can stand really well, even without holding onto something. He likes to do squats and just go down and up and down and up.
  • He is starting to talk a lot more and say "ba ba" a lot.
  • Jordan loves to play with Kylie. He likes to tease her by taking her pacifier or blanket and then laughs when she takes them back.
  • Jordan also likes to play peek-a-boo now. He'll pull the blanket over his head, drop it down and then I say "peek-a-boo" and it repeats over and over.
  • I could be prematurely saying this, but he might be weaning off of his nighttime feeding. The past 4 days, I haven't needed to feed him in the middle of the night. This means that he wakes earlier, but I'll take it over getting up in the middle of the night.
  • He still crawls every where and loves the stairs.
  • Lately, I've had to stick the small trash cans on the counter while he's in the room because he likes to dig in the trash and eat it. Yuck.
  • Jordan is a great eater. He will eat whatever is put in front of him. It's funny to look back and see how reserved I was with Kylie and food.
  • He likes shiny objects and lights. When we were doing fireworks for the 4th of July, I could hear him saying "Oh!" as they were going off.
  • He loves bath time. He gets so excited when he hears the water running and loves to crawl into bathroom as he knows that's where he gets a bath.
  • He has two top teeth, but you can't see them when he smiles yet.
  • He is so happy and smiley and fun.
Taking Jordan's 9-month pictures were an ordeal. I wanted to wait until there was a day that his face wasn't really red. But then any time I tried, he was grumpy and not in a picture taking mood. I finally was able to do it this morning and since he wouldn't stay on the ground for very long, I put him in the chair and was able to get a few decent pictures.
Immediately rolling over.
He seriously loves the bath so much.
He climbed into the laundry basket all on his own.
