California Vacation: Days 1 & 2

I wasn't sure we were going to be able to take a vacation this year when we found out about Scott getting into BYU.  We thought he would be going to school year-round with hardly any breaks, to where a vacation wouldn't be possible.  When we learned that he would have two months off in between semesters, we really started talking about going back to California.  Scott's parents were moving out of their house, so Scott really wanted to see the house one last time.  The vacation also became a baby-moon and a 5-year anniversary celebration.  It really was the best vacation and we had so much fun!

We left Tuesday, August 4th at 8:30am.  We stopped in St. George for some lunch and then stopped in Vegas to say hi to Becky at her work.  We stopped one last time outside of Barstow for a bathroom break and then arrived at David and Kristene's around 6:30-7:00.  Dean, Nadine, Andrew, and Steve & kids came over and we all had dinner, talked and then went to bed.
Wednesday, August 5th, we headed to Riverside around 11. We stopped for lunch at Miguel Jr.'s and it was very good, but very greasy Mexican food.  Scott wishes there was one here in Utah.  We then headed over to Scott's parents house, which was all staged from putting it on the market.  It sure looked different.  Kristene showed up with Abrie later and everyone, but me, went swimming (I didn't want to worry about having to change and get ready again for dinner). I took a small nap while Scott talked with his parents and then Kristene took Kylie to play at the LOL Kids Club where she had a lot of fun.  Scott and I went to PF Changs for dinner for our 5-year anniversary.  It was yummy food and fun to talk about what's happened in the past 5 years (on a separate post).  After dinner, we headed back to David & Kristene's and played the game Castle with them before heading to bed.
The next day was a super fun day at Sea World!
