This post will be a random assortment of pictures and things that happened. On Saturday the 19th, I took the kids to go and see the Easter bunny. Kylie became so excited about seeing the Easter bunny that she convinced me to go when I wasn't feeling like it. After that, I've had to keep reminding her that Easter is about Jesus and not the Easter bunny. Haha. We did have to go downtown, but it was free and to hear Kylie talk about it the next few days was worth it.
On the 22nd, we went to the wedding reception of our good friend Helaman. They had their reception the night before they got married. Helaman was the last out of our group to get married and we couldn't be happier for him. He married a great girl named Heather. Scott and I dropped the kids off with my mom and we had a little date night.
One of the times that Scott took Kylie to feed the horses in the neighborhood accidentally bit her finger. Kylie was upset by it and we were worried that she wouldn't ever want to feed them again. So, on the way to grandma's for dinner, Scott stopped and Kylie had no hesitation about feeding them. This time, we made sure to keep her hand flat so the horse wouldn't catch her fingers again. It's fun to see Kylie have excitement for an animal.
Kylie is becoming so cute with Jordan. She's always been great with him, but she's realizing that he's older and can interact a little more with her. The cutest is when I put her to bed and she wants Jordan to go to sleep with her.

Easter
Easter turned out fun this year. Scott had a co-worker who was super nice and said she would work the first 6 hours for him. So, Scott was able to be home until 11:30am. For breakfast, I made these vanishing breakfast rolls where the marshmallows inside the crescent roll disappears. I thought it was appropriate for Easter. Kylie loved looking at her basket and opening up the eggs full of candy. We headed over to grandma's for dinner later and Kylie had another small egg hunt. Things have been tough lately (more details on a future post), but I love the knowledge that Christ died for us and was resurrected so that we might live again. We can always turn to Christ for help and comfort during times of need and if we have faith, everything will be okay.

Fletcher Easter Party
On Saturday, we headed to Scott's parents house for a fun Easter party. My dad came into town early Friday morning to go to ComicCon with Aaron. He was supposed to come in Thursday afternoon, but his flight got delayed because of some snow in Denver. Aaron and dad didn't care to see anything else on Saturday, so dad came over late morning. Kylie was excited to see him and play with Papa Jack. She showed him all the activities she's interested in at the moment. She loves to play catch, play with these Frozen matching cards and build towers with blocks. Around noon, we headed down to Saratoga Springs. The Peirce's and a family in Nadine's ward were also there. Nadine & Dean sure went all out with this fun Easter party. The kids had so much fun. They made a bunny out of a paper bag, dyed eggs, hit pinatas and hunted for eggs. It had snowed two days before so I'm glad it was nice weather. After the activities, we headed to go to dinner with Scott and Aaron. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory. Grandpa Jack left early the next morning and Kylie still mentions playing with him. It was good to see my dad, but we did miss Roberta. We'll have to head out to Missouri sometime soon.
Spring Pictures
Since Scott was working Easter, I decided for us to take some pictures the Sunday before. Luckily the weather was nice to take them outside. My mom took them with my camera, so they're not amazing quality, but much better than with a cell phone! As in toddler fashion, Kylie was a bit uncooperative, but we did get a few good shots that I really enjoy.
My favorite one out of all of them. |
