May 11-13, Grandpa Jack came to visit! We had a fun filled weekend and Scott didn't have to work at all, so we were all able to hang out together. He arrived in the morning on Thursday after Kylie had preschool. We went to the park later that day and then went grocery shopping and had a steak dinner. We then spent the evening playing games. We had fun playing Settlers of Catan often.
On Friday, we went to the zoo and it was fun (
except for when I almost lost my drivers license twice!). It was a little crowded, but it all worked out fine. We then headed back to the house to put the kids down for naps and play games again. My mom came over in the evening to watch the kids while me, Scott, dad and Aaron went to go see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. It was a good movie and I'm glad we were able to go see it.
On Saturday, we spent most of the day at dad's hotel. It had a swimming pool and so the kids had fun swimming. We then got lunch and took it back to the hotel for the kids to relax and we played a game. We then headed home for naps and played more games. We made dinner at home and then headed to Leatherby's for some ice cream. It was super busy, but it was worth it to show dad this fun ice cream shop. The kids had fun getting to know Grandpa Jack again and we hope to see him again soon. We're glad that he came to visit!
