On Thursday, June 29th, we headed to Scott's work for a farewell party for him. He got a new job at a new clinic building located next to the Riverton hospital. He is a float nurse and will rotate between different floors in the clinical setting. He felt that this step would help him in making new contacts for future clinical placements and help him understand how the clinical setting works. It makes sense as he wants to be a nurse practitioner in a clinic and not a hospital. Things were feeling stagnant on the orthopedic floor and he felt good that it was his time to go. I feel good about the decision as well and we haven't had to adjust too much to the new schedule. So, Scott is working 8-5 Monday-Friday with weekends and holidays off. I am most excited about him having holidays off as I just love being able to celebrate the holidays and it got too stressful worrying about him working them. It's also nice to have him home earlier in the evenings as well. Scott is hoping for possible being able to only work 4 days a week (still full-time) and so we'll see if that comes about. Scott learned many things on the orthopedic floor and the job worked for the 5 years he was there, but we are excited for this new change.
After the party, we headed to the water park with Scott's mom and Andrew, but the water park closed early for a private party! So, we had like 15 minutes to swim. Luckily there was a park for the kids to play at after we got kicked out and then we got some dinner. Scott's official last day of work was on Saturday, July 1st, but I'm glad that he had a little farewell party to celebrate his time there.
