This Is The Place Heritage Park

On June 8th, there was a free day at This Is the Place Heritage Park. It's a park that commemorates the pioneers settling and founding Utah. I texted some friends to see if they wanted to join and we had a fun couple of hours there. It was crowded and there are a lot of aspects to the park that we weren't able to see, so it would be fun to visit another time. There was free ice cream and train rides. One thing about the train ride is that it makes stops throughout the park and since it was so busy, they made us get off at one and we were no where near our strollers. So, we had to get on another train to take us back to the front of the park. We found the little petting zoo and the kids had fun playing there with the animals. I stayed longer with the kids, while our friends took off and we hit up the splash pad. We then checked out the monument and then headed home.
