Scott's B-day

We celebrated Scott's birthday at his parents house this year. I got a notice, a week before his birthday, on my garage door about road work that would be happening in the neighborhood. It was so extensive that you couldn't drive on it at all once they started or have your sprinklers get it wet. Our road was scheduled to get done on Scott's birthday. We could have parked our car across the street, but we figured since we were going to head to his parents house, that we should just sleepover. The before, Scott had to work and I had a lot of stuff to get done so I didn't head down there until around 7pm. Andrew gave up his room for us, so Kylie got her own room and Jordan slept in the crib. The next morning, we made stuffed french toast for breakfast and opened presents. Scott's parents have a Clue game that we had been playing any time we were down there. I tried looking it up to buy it for him, but couldn't find it anywhere! I had to check out eBay and luckily shipping was fast enough for me to get it the day before. We like this version as it has more than just guessing who did it. I'm glad I found it for him.
Breakfast!
Kylie loved helping him open presents.
New swim trunks!
It's the Clue game!
Dress shirts! (from his parents/Andrew)
Hugs!
After that, we headed out to go swimming! The clubhouse in his parents neighborhood is super fun and we're glad to able to swim at it. While there, Scott forgot he had his phone in his swim trunk pocket and it got a long dip in the pool. Luckily, after leaving it in rice all day and night, it worked! The camera on his phone is broken and it sometimes randomly turns off, but the calling/texting works fine so we're happy about that.
After swimming, we changed and then went mini-golfing. The place we went was one we hadn't been to before, but his parents and Brita had a pass there, so we figured we'd check it out. It was busy that afternoon and it was hard to keep all the kids corralled. We kind of forgot that mini-golfing with kids really isn't that fun. We did get to play one quick game by ourselves, but as a whole it didn't work out as well as we'd hoped. We left early and got some Del Taco for lunch. After that, we hung out and played games until it was time for dinner, cake and ice cream. We stayed the night again since we weren't sure when our road opened back up. I hope Scott knows how much he's loved and I hope he had a good birthday.
