The zoo was fun and I would like to go back again to see the things we didn't get to this time. We started out by going to feed a giraffe! It costs $5 for 3 lettuce leaves and I was hoping Kylie would do it, but when she realized how big they were, she backed away. So, I did it, but it was super quick so Scott barely got a video of me feeding the giraffe the last piece of lettuce. It was fun, but not as awesome as I thought it would be.
After that, we went and saw the lion and lion cubs! Since it's summer and it's hot outside they were sleeping, but they were close to the window. One of the mom lions even started giving a cub a bath. The way one of them was sleeping was funny too. Cats are cats.
After the lions, we went and saw the monkeys. We couldn't see the gorillas since they were in their little tree house sleeping, but we did see a cute orangutan baby playing with its mama. It was fun to see them interact with each other.
There is an area of grass right outside where you see the monkeys that is a perfect spot for lunch. Jordan kept eating the leaves and grass so lunch was quick.
I think Kylie's favorite part of the zoo was the carousel and she was not happy when she had to get off. After the carousel we went and watched the bird show. It was a nice place for Kylie to relax, but Jordan isn't at that stage yet so it was a little tricky figuring out how to get him to hold still.
After the bird show, we headed to go see the sea lions and bears. Kylie still hadn't gone potty, so we were concerned about her wetting her pants. It got a little stressful toward the end as she was tired and we were worried. So, we decided to leave. There were some other animals we hadn't seen as well as a new playground that Kylie didn't get to play at. Like I said, I'd love to go back again as it really is a fun place to go.
At Disneyland, you should take her potty in the mother's lounge. I don't know what it's called exactly, but it's off Main St. I've never been in, but i hear it's really quiet and calm in there, which will probably make it much easier for her to use.
